Qatar World Cup 10-Ball Results: Filler Beats Manas 13-6

The German fifth seed pulled away from 3-3 in Thursday evening's final, completing a losers'-bracket run of eight straight wins for the $100,000 title.

Joshua Filler is the Qatar World Cup 10-Ball champion. The German fifth seed beat the Philippines' Albert James Manas 13-6 in Thursday evening's race-to-13 final at the Ezdan Palace Hotel in Doha, collecting the $100,000 top prize — Manas settles for $40,000 as runner-up.

Result verified against the official QBSF live scoring via rack9pool.com — confirmed FINAL across two consecutive fetches — and cross-checked with Absolute Pool, both agreeing on 13-6. The final

Winner Score Loser Table
Joshua Filler (5) 13-6 Albert James Manas 17

Manas briefly led 2-1 and the pair were level at 3-3 before the match turned decisively. Filler reeled off seven consecutive racks to lead 10-3, and although the Filipino trimmed the gap to 10-4 and later 11-6, the German closed it out 13-6 on table 17.

Eight straight wins through the losers' side

The title caps one of the week's great escapes. Filler lost his very first match in Doha — 9-5 to Mustafa Alnar in the opening round of the double-elimination phase — and never lost again. He came through two elimination matches (9-1 over Mohammed Albalushi, 9-2 over Jan Van Lierop) to reach the last 64, then won six straight knockout ties: Ameer Ali 11-8, Olivér Szolnoki 11-8, Tobias Bongers 11-8, Miguel Salvilla 11-7, world No. 1 Wojciech Szewczyk 11-9 in Thursday's semi-final, and finally Manas.

The last seed left in the draw adds the Qatar crown to his UK Open title from May — his second major trophy of 2026 — and pockets the biggest first prize of the week.

Manas falls one match short

Albert James Manas's run to the final was the story of the knockout phase for the host region's biggest contingent. The unseeded Filipino, who had to come through the losers' side himself after a 9-4 Stage-1 defeat to Daniel Macioł, eliminated Bashar Hussain, Alnar, Jundel Mazon and giant-killer Hsieh Chia Chen before gaining revenge over 2024 champion Macioł in a hill-hill semi-final decided 11-10.

He could not produce one more comeback in the final, but leaves Doha with $40,000 and the best week of his career.

What's next

The tour caravan moves straight on to Spain — the Revora Spanish Open runs October 29 to November 1 with year-end ranking places on the line.
